Classic No Bake Cookies

These classic no-bake cookies are the kind of treat that instantly takes you back to childhood — standing in the kitchen, waiting impatiently for them to set (and sneaking one way too early). Made with simple pantry staples, rich chocolate, creamy peanut butter, and hearty oats, they come together in minutes with no oven required . They’re soft, fudgy, slightly chewy, and perfectly sweet — the ultimate quick dessert for busy days, hot summer afternoons, or when a chocolate craving hits right now . Whether you’re making them with kids, sharing them at a potluck, or tucking a few away for yourself, these no-bake cookies never disappoint. Warning: once they’re on the counter, they disappear fast

Homemade Tamales

I have been searching and looking and scavenging for the perfect tamale masa recipe for about 30 years and I think I have finally found it! My sweethearts family made tamales every new years eve. (this is how he remembers it) and I want my children to be involved in his history and family so I have been working and trying to find a great recipe for literally over 30 years. I hope this is close to his Grandma Dardanellas tamales. If you have any questions please reach out in the comments and I will do my best to answer you! ENJOY!

Nanaimo Bars

The first time I made Nanaimo bars all on my own was to take to my then boyfriends family bbq and they all seemed to love them. I remember the BBQ well! My now father in law made a smoky boneless pork rib that I still make today that was at that same BBQ. The get together was epic! Unfortunately, the recipe I used was in my Moms "Mailbox News" magazine and was eventually lost and gone forever. Fortunately, my daughter went to Canada on her mission and we found the recipe that is the official Nanaimo BC recipe where it originated. I was so excited to try it again and it did not dissapoint!  These classic   Nanaimo bars  are a no-bake, three-layer Canadian treat with a buttery chocolate-coconut base, a rich vanilla custard filling, and a smooth chocolate topping. They’re decadent, easy to make, and guaranteed to disappear fast—perfect for holidays, potlucks, or anytime you’re craving a nostalgic, crowd-pleasing dessert.   Here you go! We love this bar!
